That’s according to a recent report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), who claims the French striker is wanted by the Serie A side.

It has been noted that the parties have been in talks for some time, but now a deal appears to be edging closer to being finalised.

Despite Giroud now being 34-years-old, the Rossoneri are understood to be offering the French World Cup winner a two-year deal but haven’t ruled out the possibility of a third year.

The Italian’s efforts to sign Giroud appear to have been accelerated due to current striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently ruled out with a long-term knee injury.

Since his arrival at Chelsea in 2018 following a controversial move from rivals Arsenal, the 34-year-old has gone on to feature in 119 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 53 goals, along the way.
