Daniele De Rossi’s Roma have started targeting Federico Chiesa ahead of the summer and are confident prior to talks with Juventus.

On Friday, reports emerged noting how the Giallorossi and their high-flying young coach were seriously interested in making a move for the Italian winger, who could end up leaving Turin in the summer as contract negotiations with the Old Lady struggle to produce a result.

Chiesa has struggled to show his best with Juventus under Massimiliano Allegri this term but has still managed eight goals and two assists across 30 matches. With just over a year left on his contract, the 26-year-old may end up pursing a new adventure in the upcoming transfer window.

Chiesa possibility

As detailed by Il Tempo via PagineRomaniste, Roma are confident that a deal for Chiesa won’t be too difficult to agree with Juventus in the summer, hoping to take advantage of his contract situation.

The 26-year-old has just over a year left on his deal and has a residual value of €13.78m, the minimum amount the Old Lady would need to avoid making a capital loss on the winger. His €5m salary is also accessible, considering that Romelu Lukaku will return to Chelsea.
