Napoli are hoping to appoint Antonio Conte as their next manager and they are ready to appease him by signing Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski.

According to a report via TuttoMercatoWeb, Napoli will ‘enter into negotiations’ with the Premier League club and they are looking to sign the Swedish international in the summer.

Kulusevski has been an important player for Tottenham since joining the club from Juventus, and it was Antonio Conte who brought him to the London club.

The 23-year-old is versatile enough to operate in the wide areas as well as the number ten role. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for Napoli and it is highly unlikely that Tottenham will sanction the departure of a key player like him any time soon.

The north London outfit are pushing for Champions League qualification and they will hope to win major trophies in the coming seasons. They cannot afford to sell key players like Kulusevski.

The Swedish international is a key player for Tottenham and it is unlikely that he will push for an exit either. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Kulusevski might not fancy Napoli move

Napoli managed to win the league title last season, but they have been quite mediocre this year and they need to make changes in the summer. Bringing in a quality manager like Antonio Conte could help them bounce back strongly. The Italian outfit are currently eighth in the league table.

They are unlikely to secure Champions League qualification next season, and they will struggle to attract top players like Kulusevski. The Swedish international will fancy his chances of competing in Europe next year with Tottenham instead.
