Lorenzo Colombo has started his loan spell at SPAL in red hot form, and AC Milan have a plan in mind for the young striker’s future.

Colombo returned from a loan spell at Cremonese in the second half of last season and was sent to Serie B side SPAL to continue his development given he is still a teenager and the Rossoneri already have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud and Pietro Pellegri.

As Calciomercato.com writes, Colombo scored last night against Vicenza, netting his the third in five matches with the Emilian club. He showed his great physical strength and agility to evade the marking of two opponents and hit a precise shot into the bottom corner from outside the box.

SPAL director Zamuner agreed to Milan’s conditions in the summer which are a season-long dry loan which includes a reward for the achievement of a certain number of appearances and goals. Maldini and Massara have great esteem and consideration for Colombo and had no intention of losing control over the striker.

There could even be another loan spell or two in the plans after this season to ensure he is getting the playing time to develop but one thing is clear: the management see Colombo’s future at Milan.
