Tanguy Ndombele to Leave on Loan with Buy Option

After weeks of speculation, Spurs have finally found a solution to offload their out-of-favour midfielder, with Ndombele joining Galatasaray on loan, with an option to buy for £13 million.

The Frenchman has reportedly been the subject of interest from several clubs this year. The transfer window in the United Kingdom and in many European countries closed on September 1. However, the Turkish Super Lig’s transfer deadline occurs on September 15, which allows them to register new players till then.

Other Clubs That Were Interested in Signing Ndombele

The former Olympique Lyon man was not short of suitors over the course of the summer. During the European transfer window, there were multiple clubs that were interested in the services of the midfield “powerhouse.” Serie A side Genoa reached an agreement with the Lillywhites for the transfer during the last days of the window.

However, the deal collapsed as the Italian side could not reach an agreement with the player’s entourage. Surprisingly, the UEFA Champions League finalists, Inter Milan were also considering a move for Ndombele, but the interest never came to fruition.

Despite a largely disappointing spell in North London, Ndombele is a player with undoubted ability. He has the ability to shift his body weight and carry the ball in different directions when in possession, making him a nightmare to play against and effective at resisting the press.
