Could a Crystal Palace star potentially be on his way to the Etihad this summer? Eberechi Eze is reportedly a target for Manchester City this summer as the world champions look to improve their squad in the summer window. A recent report indicates that Manchester City is the likely destination for the Crystal Palace star.

Miguel Delaney has reported for the Independent that Tottenham are keen to secure Eze this summer. He adds that while Spurs are keen to secure Eze’s services it is believed that Manchester City are the most likely destination for the England international.

As a player, Eberechi Eze does the fit the bill as a typical Manchester City signing. He is the right age to come in and develop his game under Pep Guardiola. The young attacking midfielder also has the versatility to play in multiple roles. That attribute is always seen as a positive given the ability of Manchester City to adjust their formation during games.

But more than that Eze has the talent to succeed at the world champions. During his spell at Crystal Palace, he has become one of their most influential players. His playmaking ability, eye for a goal and undoubted technical ability have seen him rise to prominence at Selhurst Park. His rise has seen him capped for England and has seemingly placed him on the radar of several top clubs. The interest from Spurs and City is a clear indicator of this.

As a player, Eberechi Eze ticks the boxes required to play at Manchester City. It will become a waiting game to see if the treble winners make a move for the Crystal Palace star this summer.
