Crystal Palace matchwinner Joachim Andersen says victory at Manchester United on Saturday was a team effort.

The Denmark defender scored the only goal of the game on the day.

Andersen told Palace TV: I'm buzzing! It's a crazy feeling to score a matchwinner. I don't know when I last did that, so I'm just so happy. To win against United, 1-0 at Old Trafford, it doesn't get any better."

Watching the goal back, Andersen reacted: It's pretty good!

I just tried to get free of him [United defender Victor Lindelof], and then, you see I just get back again from the position I came from, because I sensed the ball would get cleared and I thought the ball would arrive there. I guessed in that moment, and I guessed right!

It's a pretty good strike! It's a goal I won't forget for sure.

It's my first 'worldie', yeah!"

On keeping United scoreless, he also said: I don't know how many blocks everyone made It's about being switched on all the time in your defending, and all the time being on your toes so you can be prepared for the worst.

You need to always think 'what's the worst that can happen in this situation?' and that's what I think everyone tried to do.

It was not only about the back four or the midfield it was everyone. The effort Jordan [Ayew] put in, JP [Mateta], Jeff [Schlupp], Ebs they ran a lot, these guys, so they made it easier for us.

When we applied the right pressure, they could not play these balls or switch and find space between the lines. When we put pressure on the ball, we cut out some lines and it was easier for us back four to defend. It helped us a lot."
