Vanessa DiBernardo, Temwa Chawinga and Bia Zaneratto each had a goal and an assist and the Kansas City Current held on for a 4-2 victory against visiting Angel City FC with the aid of a video review Saturday.

A would-be tying goal from Rocky Rodriguez with about six minutes remaining in regulation time was nullified because of offsides after a review.

Zaneratto scored in extra time to push the margin to two goals, giving her two goals this year. Alexa Spaanstra also scored for the Current (3-0-0, 9 points).

Angel City (0-2-1, 1 point), which had scored one goal combined in its first two games, doubled that with two goals Saturday.

Sydney Leroux scored in the first half for Angel City. Madison Curry converted about six minutes prior to the Rodriguez tally being wiped out.

Spaanstra's goal in first-half extra time pushed Kansas City's lead to 2-0 entering the break.

The goals came quickly early in the second half. Leroux pulled Angel City within 2-1 before Chawinga answered a minute later for the Current.
