Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol may have to wait to play in his preferred position.

The central defender has come into the Citizens and predominantly played at left-back.

Manager Pep Guardiola has been hugely impressed with the Croatian youngster, who signed from RB Leipzig.

While Gvardiol will eventually move back to centre half, he will also play left-back for Croatia this month.

Their boss Zlatko Dalic stated to reporters: "Joko Gvardiol plays left-back at City, and in these matches, he'll be in that position.

I didn't get what I wanted from Borna Barii and Borna Sosa going forward."
