Dani Parejo is delighted with his new deal at Villarreal.

The midfielder has penned a deal to 2026.

He said, "I am happy, a renewal is always a reason for joy. Since I have arrived at this club I have always said it, I knew it because I was very close to it, and since I have arrived I have always said that it is a spectacular club. A club that makes everything very easy, since it provides all the tools to make it happen.

"The president, his family and the people of the club work to make it happen. I think it is an exemplary club in every sense.

"Happy to be there for two more years, and hoping to help the club continue to grow and improve."

Parejo also said: "I believe that with all the tools we now have in terms of recovery, training, rest, food... It is true that the footballer's career has lengthened a lot. I believe that the most important thing is the mind, I believe that the mind is what does everything, what makes you right or wrong, what makes you want to play.

"I don't know what will happen when these two years pass, but it is true that now I I feel very well and very happy. I enjoy it a lot and I really like football. I hope it is not my last contract.

"But I already tell you that on a mental level I am very good, I am strong. And I think that yes, on a mental level if you are fine, you perform well."
