France World Cup winner Marcel Desailly has questioned Kylian Mbappe's move to Real Madrid.

The PSG star is set to join Real when his deal expires this summer.

Desailly told beIn Sports: "I don't think it would be the ideal place for him. There is already Vinicius Jr on the left wing. There are players who have shown good things like Bellingham, he wouldn't be the number one player as he would like."

Desailly continued: "If we think about the football business, I would aim for 350m for a year from Saudi Arabia. I would come back the following season, the year of the World Cup, he would only be 26 years old.

"What does Mbapp want? He wants to play football! This is what I think as a businessman: look at the stadiums, they are full of matches all over the world, he wants to promote football like Qatar in 2004-2005 and I think it would be a good opportunity for him to do more business and play football after the European Championships."
