Milan have several players that could be sold before the end of the transfer window and Mattia Caldara is one of them. Having just returned from a loan spell, the defender could be on his way once again.

Caldara spent the last 18 months on loan at Atalanta and didn’t impress the Bergamo side, as they opted not to activate the €15m buy-out clause. Therefore, Milan and the centre-back are back where they started before the loan.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, newly-promoted Serie A side Venezia are looking to reinforce their defence and Caldara is on their wish list. In fact, they have launched an attempt to sign the former Atalanta man.

During the loan with the Bergamo side, Caldara made just nine appearances and he now needs to relaunch his career before it’s too late. It remains to be seen what formula Venezia will propose to Milan for the transfer.
