Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is open to a summer move and AC Milan have expressed an interest in signing him, a report claims.

Given the previous business between the two clubs, Milan and Real Madrid are often linked when it comes to transfer operations. For example, report in Germany earlier today claimed that Los Blancos are interested in signing Malick Thiaw from the Rossoneri and are working on the deal.

According to Diario AS, there is another potential negotiation in the pipeline because Ceballos has showed an openness to the idea of potentially leaving Real Madrid and this has piqued Milan’s interest.

They would be looking to do a similar deal to that of Brahim Diaz, i.e. a loan with an option to buy, as per the report. However Los Blancos would prefer a permanent sale, for a figure in the region of €10m.

The unknown dynamic is how Real Madrid would look in the creative midfield department if they were to let him go, because Arda Guler has had his injury problems and Luka Modric (end of contract) could potentially leave too.

The AS report states: ‘The Rossonero club plans a revolution in the summer and the Utrera midfielder enters their plans. Madrid prefers a sale and Milan, a loan.’

The Spain international, who is now 27 years of age, has been repeatedly linked with Milan across previous transfer windows.
