Did Cristiano Ronaldo hint he's staying at Manchester United in Instagram post?

One of the hottest topics of the summer transfer window continues to be the unknown future of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who reportedly wishes to leave Manchester United to join a club that will participate in the upcoming season's UEFA Champions League competition.

Ronaldo's problem, per multiple outlets, is that no top-tier team is in for him at the moment. An unnamed Saudi Arabian club allegedly offered to pay Ronaldo €275 million in wages for the next two seasons to join them, but a Friday report said that the 37-year-old is "running out of options" now that Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, "and a lot of other elite clubs" have supposedly ruled out moves for the all-time great.

Maybe that is just fine with Ronaldo, after all.

As Chris Wright noted for ESPN, Ronaldo recently took to Instagram to share what, at first glance, seems to be nothing more than a standard workout photo similar to posts made by athletes every day:

However, Wright added that CR7 is wearing the black-blue-and-yellow training shorts United used last season for the picture. That is not all, though, as Ronaldo also appears to have rolled the shorts just high enough to hide the United badge, potentially to prove he wants to make an exit from Old Trafford sooner rather than later.

Ronaldo remains away from the club this summer due to what manager Erik ten Hag and others have insisted is a legitimate "family issue." Until the man himself offers more information on his mindset, fans and media members, alike, are left searching for any clues that they can find regarding his future.
