Chelsea have completed the signing of Lesley Ugochukwu from Rennes.

The 19 year-old midfielder joins Chelsea for 27m and has penned a seven-year contract to 2030.

Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "We need to assess him when he starts training today and then in London after the tour.

"He's a young, talented player. Now is the time to assess him until the end of the transfer window and see if he is going to be with us or maybe it can be a possibility to loan him."

The France youth international is likely to return to Ligue 1 on-loan for the new season where Chelsea partners Strasbourg are keen.
