Former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has joined Lyon.

The veteran moved to OL in a permanent deal from Rennes. He has signed to 2026.

Matic, 35, only played 13 games in half a season at Rennes after arriving from AS Roma.

Lyon are currently sitting 16th in Ligue 1, the division's relegation play-off spot.

They have been in France's top-flight since 1989.
