Paulo Dybala left Cagliari’s game in the first half after getting tangled up with an opponent on a tackle, fueling fears of a long-term injury. The early tests ruled out serious problems, even though he’ll probably have to miss some time, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
La Joya didn’t tear a meniscus nor the anterior cruciate ligament, which would have knocked him out for months. He has been diagnosed with a mild MCL sprain, which is pretty painful but could be shaken off relatively quickly. He won’t need surgery. His return date will hinge on his comfort level.

It’s unlikely he’ll be available for the first game after the break versus Monza. However, October 29th’s clash with Inter could be a realistic target date.

While they are better equipped to cope with injuries than in the past, and he’s no longer the main star of the team considering Romelu Lukaku’s stellar production, their offense jams up too easily when he’s not there. Unless the problem is really small, the standard timetable is about a month.
