Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp spoke on the Football People podcast about a number of different topics, one being Liverpool’s rebuilding stage.

Via TalkSport, quotes have been published from the podcast episode around what Klopp said about Chelsea’s spending under Todd Boehly.

Klopp said: “Chelsea with new ownership, nobody knows exactly how they can spend that much money… nobody likes me talking about that. But transition needs time if you don’t have endless money, otherwise you can change overnight pretty much and bring in ten players.”

It is quite funny how Klopp says “endless money” is this perhaps a dig? maybe Klopp is salty that Chelsea have Boehly as their owner whilst Liverpool have FSG who have historically ran Liverpool in way where they spend in the market based on what the club earns through their revenue streams.

Nevertheless, Chelsea’s owners won’t be bothered by this type of talk, they’ll be focused purely on making sure Chelsea remain a successful English side and then if they achieve that, I am sure the consortium will have some things to say to the media who have ridiculed their transfer strategy since taking over from Roman Abramovich.
