Tottenham Hotspur defender Ryan Sessegnon has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has struggled for regular game time because of persistent injury problems this season, but the Turkish outfit Galatasaray would be willing to provide him with an exit route in the summer as per Aspor.

The versatile defender is ‘on their list’ heading into the transfer window. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official proposal to sign the defender in the coming weeks. He is capable of operating as a left-sided winger as well as a full-back. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Turkish outfit.

Sessegnon was regarded as one of the finest young talents in English football during his time at Fulham and he could develop into a key player for Galatasaray with the right guidance. He will be desperate to get his career back on track and regular football will be crucial to his development.

Spurs will not be able to provide him with the opportunities he needs and a move away from the north London club would be ideal. The report states that the defender is ready to turn a new page in his career and a fresh start would be ideal.

It will be interesting to see if the 23-year-old is keen on a move to Turkey. He might feel that staying in England would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Tottenham have Destiny Udogie as their first choice left back and they have Ben Davies as a backup option as well. The former Fulham defender is unlikely to get too many opportunities. The north London club should look to sell him and invest the proceeds into a player who can help them improve. They will need to improve multiple areas of their squad during the summer window.
