Manchester United have found the winning track again in the Premier League as first-half penalties from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford ensured they won all three points in the early Saturday kick-off against Everton.

United had lost consecutive Premier League games going into the game, falling 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.

That gap has now been closed a little going into Unai Emery’s meeting with fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

United scored both of their goals in the first half but it could have turned out differently, with the visitors spurning several chances before the interval. United had more control in the second half and cruised to the win.
