Premier League giants Everton are still paying the majority of Andre Gomes' wages.
The Portuguese midfielder is on loan at Lille in France for the entire season.
However, the central midfielder has a bumper contract with the Toffees that a Ligue 1 club could not afford.
As a result, per L'Equipe, the Toffees are paying around 60 percent of his wages for this season.
Everton are struggling financially and may even be in breach of the Premier League's Financial Fair Play rules.
Gomes signed for Everton in 2020, but was never the same after a serious leg injury.
