Everton host Nottingham Forest in a relegation battle that will shape both team’s seasons. The Toffees sit two points above the Tricky Trees in the Premier League table. Last Word on Football brings you our Everton predicted lineup for the game on Sunday, April 21.

Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest In Crucial Clash

How Everton Have Line Up

The Toffees back-line has been the most consistent part of the team sheet. Jordan Pickford has played in the net every league game this season, while James Tarkowski and Jarrad Braithwaite’s partnership has started in all but three Premier League games. The left side of the defence has been claimed by Vitaliy Mykolenko this season. Last time out, the right back position saw three different players, with Seamus Coleman starting, followed by Nathan Patterson and Ben Godfrey because of injuries.

James Garner and Amadou Onana started in the centre of midfield. Abdoulaye Doucouré played in the second striker role.

The wings consisted of Ashley Young and Dwight McNeil, with the pair starting the last three league matches. Beto returned to the starting lineup amid an injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Everton’s Recent Form and Tactics

A devastating 6-0 defeat to Chelsea sees the Toffees remain in a battle for survival. With only one win this year, Everton will have to turn their form around as they face multiple relegation rivals to finish the season.

Dyche’s preferred formation of 4-2-3-1 was exposed last time out as Chelsea utilised the space left between the lines. Garner and Onana are not a defensively astute duo – and allowed the opposition midfield time and space on the ball. If fit, expect Idrissa Gana Gueye to start to tighten the midfield up.

Attacking has also been an issue, scoring just two goals over the previous three games. The return of Arnaut Danjuma could add some much-needed unpredictability to an often stagnant attack.

Everton Injuries To Consider

In this week’s press conference, Dyche outlined the fitness of players in the squad. Branthwaite, Calvert-Lewin and Gueye are all probable to be fit for the match after lightly training throughout the week. Patterson is out for the remainder of the season after suffering a hamstring injury. Coleman is doubtful to be available.
