Lazio worked to strengthen their squad this summer, picking up multiple reinforcements whilst finding new homes for the redundant players.
The Biancocelesti took a little while to warm in the summer transfer window following the high-profile sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal, earning €42 million from his departure.
Lazio eventually managed to welcome a number of interesting players, including Daichi Kamada, Valentin Castellanos and Nicolo Rovella.
Lazio spent around €37.2 million this summer and earnt around €48.3 million in sales.
The Biancocelesti secured an unexpected second place finish in Serie A last season, qualifying them for the Champions League, where they’ll face Atletico Madrid, Feyenoord and Celtic.
The 2023-24 season has started in a fairly difficult fashion for Lazio, who lost their opening two matches against Lecce and Genoa. Sarri’s side are hoping to turn things around fast to start building up some momentum before the league table starts to take shape.
