Former Inter Milan player Raoul Bellanova remains fond of his experience at the club, especially having made an appearance in the Champions League final.

The 23-year-old spent the previous campaign among Simone Inzaghi’s ranks while on loan from Cagliari.

The wingback initially struggled for playing time. However, he started to collect more minutes towards the end of the season while acting as a backup for Denzel Dumfries.

But at the end of the campaign, Inter opted against activating their option to keep him on a permanent basis.

Bellanova thus returned to Cagliari in the summer before sealing a move to Torino.

Nevertheless, the Italian still cherishes his time at Appiano Gentile. He even surprised himself by making an appearance in the Champions League final against Man City, entering the match as a second-half substitute.

“I didn’t think I’d play in the Champions League final,” admitted the former Inter and AC Milan player in his interview with La Stampa via FcInterNews.

“But when entered, I had no fear. I wanted to prove that there could be a place for me among all those champions.

“This experience has given me an incredible boost.”

But even though his time at Inter ended relatively swiftly, Bellanova is content with his choice to join Torino in the summer.

“I chose Torino because I felt it was the right path for me. And now that I’m here, I would do it again a thousand times.

“Every day, I arrive at the training center with great joy.”

This season, Bellanova has thus far contributed with three assists in 20 Serie A appearances for the Granata.
