Former Manchester United defender Phil Jones is holding talks with Greek outfit Aris about resurrecting his career.

Jones, who joined United as a teenager, finally left the club on the expiry of his contract this summer.

The center back has not been playing competitively for several seasons due to serious knee problems.

Per Gazzetta, Aris are now assessing whether Jones can play a role for them in the coming season.

The Salonika giants have been talking to Jones' camp about a deal, with the 31-year-old eager to make the move.

Jones initially asked for too much money, but it appears the parties are close to a deal.
