Former Premier League striker Jermain Defoe admits he loved watching Danny Ings in action.

The striker has signed for West Ham United from Aston Villa this winter, playing in their 2-0 win over Everton at the weekend.

Defoe, who also played for the Hammers in his career, admits that Ings is a huge signing for David Moyes' team.

"Danny Ings, a big signing," he told Premier League Productions.

"He is someone I have enjoyed watching.

"He is someone that will guarantee you goals. He is a willing runner. Sharp. Very, very good signing."
