Fenerbahce have made Manchester United striker Anthony Martial one of their transfer targets for the New Year.

The Turkish giants, who are currently on top of the Super Lig, will be aiming to strengthen its squad by adding Martial to their attacking department, which already consists of Dusan Tadic and Edin Dzeko.

According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Fenerbahce believe signing Martial will open a new page in the team’s approach to the league and European competition.

They also state that a move could have a positive impact on other players in the squad, increasing the overall motivation and performance of the team.

They clearly haven’t been watching Martial in a United shirt for the past 2-3 years…

Anyhow, the report also states that negotiations are ongoing between Fenerbahce and United.

Fenerbahce are hoping to strengthen their good relations with United after signing Fred from the Reds during the summer. Moreover, they sold us Altay Bayindir, who came in as a back-up option to first choice goalkeeper Andre Onana.

It is believed that Fenerbahce’s first offer is worth €8 million.

United should try push the boat out for €10m and cash in on the underwhelming Frenchman.
