Former Napoli and Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara highlights that Bianconeri players made a ‘serious’ error in their loss at the Stadio Maradona as they were outrun by Giacomo Raspadori when Wojciech Szczęsny saved Victor Osimhen’s penalty kick.

Juventus suffered their third loss in the last six Serie A matches on Sunday night, losing 2-1 at the Stadio Maradona in Naples.

Federico Chiesa had scored the equaliser at minute 81, but Napoli put their noses ahead again seven minutes later through Italy international Raspadori.

The ex-Sassuolo star was quicker than any other Juventus player and latched onto the rebound before any other opponent. Even Giovanni Di Lorenzo and André Zambo Anguissa got on the ball before the Old Lady’s defenders and Ferrara harshly criticised the Bianconeri because of that.

“I think there was a serious error after the penalty save,” Ferrara told DAZN during Sunday’s post-match show, as quoted by Tuttosport.

“Taking a point home from the Stadio Maradona would have been important for Juventus’ mood.”

The former Italy international argued that Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri should be satisfied with the team’s performance in Naples even if the Bianconeri have lost away at Napoli for five seasons in a row so the Tuscan tactician “won’t be happy.”
