Fiorentina are looking to pick up a new goalkeeper to complement Pietro Terraciano and have identified Luis Maximiano as an interesting option.

The 24-year-old Portuguese shot stopper had a torrid time in his debut season with the Biancocelesti, joining last summer from Granada for around €10.2m.

Maximiano was shown a red card just six minutes into his Lazio debut for handling the ball outside the penalty area and the moment defined his season, with backup option Ivan Provedel taking over and shining between the sticks.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina want to sign a new goalkeeper this summer and their top target is Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario, who is also wanted by a number of other teams including Inter. Another one of their targets is Maximiano, who has already been transfer listed by Lazio.

The Biancocelesti would be happy to sell the 24-year-old this summer and his departure would allow them to make a move for Sampdoria’s Emil Audero.
