Fiorentina are also interested in signing VfL Wolfsburg winger and Lazio target Josip Brekalo.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are still searching for a new winger for coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system and have already identified the 23-year-old Croatian as one of their top choices.

Brekalo became the main alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt, and now that the talks with the Bundesliga club have collapsed, the Croatian is one of the key options.

Fiorentina also have their eye on the 23-year-old Brekalo, however, with Viola coach Vincenzo Italiano wanting more reinforcements for his front line.

Brekalo, who is contracted to VfL Wolfsburg until 2023, made 29 Bundesliga appearances last season, for a total of 1824 minutes. In that time, he scored seven goals and provided three assists.

The Croatian winger is noted for his strong progressive dribbling and consistent progressive passes, whilst also being a good finisher.
