Carlo Jacomuzzi, who worked as a director for Napoli in the past and now helms the Scouts’ Association, weighed in on the negotiation between his former team and Lazar Samardzic, which has pretty much collapsed at this point, to Radio Punto Nuovo (via Tuttomercatoweb).
“His father made the deal impossible again because of the commissions and other intermediaries interfering. The FA needs to intervene and regulate the market because you can’t carry on like this. It’s unsustainable. Agents dictate everything and move players without consulting gaffers or scouts.”
Jacomuzzi dished on the January window in general.
“It’s tough to operate for any team, even Napoli. Finding the right option and then integrating him into the XI in a short amount of time is truly complicated. The coaching change didn’t help the front office plan the acquisitions. They’ll have to be careful, also because they’ll have a new gaffer since Walter Mazzarri is a caretaker manager.”
“You can’t organize the future moves in this situation. Moreover, the players will have to adapt again, unless Aurelio De Laurentis has already found the next boss and is in touch with him. Otherwise, it’d be a leap in the dark. The same goes for director Mauro Meluso, who needs to have some guidelines in his work. It’s difficult without the indications of a coach.”
