Lazar Samardzic looked back at the summer saga with Inter and discussed the transfer market chatter while participating in the show Udinese Tonight on TV12 (via Tuttomercatoweb).

“I always try not to pay attention to the buzz. It was complicated at first, but I spoke with many friends and the coach, and they reassured me. I’m very comfortable here in Udine, and I’ve always said that. I carry this team in my heart and want to keep growing here. Hearing people speaking ill about me wasn’t easy. I attempted to avoid all of that.”

“It’s true that I was close to Inter, but then something happened, and the deal didn’t go through. It’s better to let it be. I can still improve and feel good here. Everyone was happy when I returned and stayed. When the fans stop me, they always compliment me. Nobody insulted me, and that helped.”

Samardzic didn’t mention his prospective transfer to Napoli in January, which apparently wasn’t that close to coming to fruition, while he spent a few days in Milan in the summer to tend to the negotiation with Inter.

The talent weighed in on his current coach.

“I speak a lot with Gabriele Cioffi. He always tells me where I can ameliorate and, if I am benched, he explains why. We have a good relationship. He likes to defend, and, since I’m an offensive-minded player, it’s useful for me to improve in the other side of the pitch too.”
