France opens as favorite ahead of World Cup quarterfinal clash with England
The World Cup Round of 16 is still in progress, but many sports fans are already looking forward to next weekend's quarterfinals match between England and France -- especially those fans who like to bust out their wallets and do a little wagering.
DraftKings and other big sportsbooks have already posted their odds for next weekend's big match, and Les Bleus are the current favorite at +135 on the 90-minute moneyline.
Both teams pulled off convincing victories in last weekend's Round of 16. Harry Kane and the English squad pulled off a stunning 3-0 victory against Senegal, while Kylian Mbappe led France to a 3-1 win over Robert Lewandowski and Poland.
England and France have only played each other 31 times in their history, with the last time being a friendly match in 2017. The last match between the two that mattered was the opening game of Euro 2012, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
