Frosinone have inquired with Juventus to sign Dean Huijsen in January, but they were rejected, at least for now. The Gialloblù already have three Bianconeri loanees in their squad, Matias Soulé, Enzo Barrenechea, and Kaio Jorge, Nicolò Schira informs.

The two Argentines are thriving in Ciociaria, the winger in particular. Instead, the Brazilian talent is starting to see minutes after a pair of physical hiccups. He’s still fully working his way back from a major knee injury.

Huijsen debuted in Serie A against Milan and held his own in 12 minutes on the pitch. He has starred seven times with the Next Gen’s squad. He was a regular in Serie C in the past campaign already.

The 18-year-old was signed from Malaga for 200k in July 2021. He has progressively worked up the ladder. He has been the fourth defensive option with Danilo and Alex Sandro injured simultaneously in the last couple of matches.

Our Take on Frosinone and Huijsen

It would be a great landing spot as the Canaries don’t have many options in the back. Plus, they have proven to be a good environment for youngsters. They’ll be top of the queue if he’s allowed to leave. However, the Bianconeri actually need him for the time being. Alex Sandro isn’t necessarily a lock to stay in January since his contract expires at the end of the season.
