Over the weekend rumours began to spread of another injury issue with Sheffield United striker Rhian Brewster. And now, unfortunately, these rumours have since been declared true by The Star ahead of Monday night’s game against Arsenal.

The 23-year-old cannot catch a break with numerous soft tissue problems plaguing him throughout his time with the Blades. Brewster has suffered yet another hamstring injury which has now cast a doubt over his availability for the rest of the season, with reports suggesting he could be out for as much as 6-8 weeks.

Formerly of Liverpool, Brewster joined Sheffield United for a fee of £23.5 million back in the 2020/21 campaign after Chris Wilder approved the deal. At the time it looked to be a shrewd signing by the club but unfortunate injuries have hindered his development.

The forward has featured 75 times for the club since his transfer back in October 2020, scoring on five occasions and adding an assist to his name.

In the last two seasons alone Brewster has missed 75 games for the club due to persistent hamstring issues, according to data from Transfermarkt.

The most unluckiest player ever?

There has been understandable frustrations from Sheffield United fans on social media over the last few days. However, there are certain individuals that have been taking the news out on Brewster himself – making some incredible statements claiming the striker doesn’t care as long as he’s picking up a wage.

Everyone is frustrated. But I can guarantee nobody is more frustrated about this than Rhian Brewster himself.

Every time he gets himself back fit, he shows signs of promise, but subsequently he suffers another setback.
