The 2024 January transfer window slammed shut on Thursday.

While the mid-season window was certainly less eventful than many in recent seasons, 16 of the 20 clubs in the Premier League made at least one signing.

The only teams that did not sign at least one new player were Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton.

Chelsea brought in as many as NINE mid-season signings last winter but the only arrival at Stamford Bridge this January was Jamaica striker Dujuan Richards.

The deal to sign Richards had actually been agreed back in June but Chelsea had to wait until after his 18th birthday for him to arrive.

All 20 Premier League clubs combined spent just £96.2 million in transfer fees in the 2024 January window, having splashed approximately £700m 12 months earlier.

The biggest spenders this time around were Crystal Palace (£30.5m) and Tottenham Hotspur (£26.7m).
