Gareth Southgate has named his starting eleven ahead of England’s round of 16 games against Senegal this evening.

Southgate has made one change from the side that beat Wales in the final game of the group stage. Bukayo Saka comes in for Marcus Rashford on the right, with Jordan Henderson and Phil Foden keeping their places in the team.

One player who will not be featuring for the Three Lions tonight is Raheem Sterling, who was excluded from the squad due to a ‘family matter’.

This will be the first-ever senior international meeting between the two teams and Southgate will be hoping that his Three Lions can continue their unbeaten run against African sides in the World Cup.

The winners of tonight’s game will play France in the quarterfinals. As we saw earlier today, overcoming France won’t be an easy task, as they dismantled a solid Poland team.
