England legend Gary Lineker was full of praise for Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo after his match-winning performance against Wolves on Thursday night.

The Reds took three points at Molineux Stadium following a dramatic encounter, but it was the 18-year-old who scored the winner in stoppage time in a seven goal thriller.

Mainoo glided through Wolves’ defence before curling home his effort.

It was Mainoo’s first goal in the Premier League, and it came at the right moment for his boyhood club.

Taking to X after Mainoo scored the winner, Gary Lineker waxed lyrical at the youngster’s brilliance.

He wrote: “Wow! Wha a finale and what a prodigious young talent, Kobbie Mainoo is.”

Mainoo is enjoying his football for United and seems to be taking every opportunity with two hands.

With goals in back-to-back games, the youngster is sending a warning to the Premier League that there is a new kid in town.
