Ghana coach Chris Hughton has hopes of West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus being fit for tonight's AFCON clash with Egypt.

The Black Stars need a result after their shock opening game defeat to Cape Verde.

Hughton will give Kudus every chance to prove his fitness before tonight's tie.

We will continue to assess him," Hughton said at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday. We have today and tomorrow morning to assess.

"He has trained the last few days, but we will assess him, as I say, today and tomorrow and make a decision tomorrow."
