AC Milan’s ‘Fantastic Four’ have been hailed by the Italian media after their positive performances during the win over Lecce yesterday afternoon.

Christian Pulisic started in the No.10 role for the first time with Milan due to Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s suspension, allowing Samuel Chukwueze to keep his spot on the right after the positive form as of late. Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao also started.

As Il Giornale (via MilanNews) writes this morning, the attacking quartet that Milan deployed were the ‘Fantastic Four’ in what resembled a ‘training’ game against a side that have been on a bit of a slide since the start of the year.

Pulisic, Giroud and Leao scored, but there was also an excellent performance from Chukwueze who finally changed gear and is now showing all his qualities.

It was a great victory for Stefano Pioli’s team in general, the seventh across all competitions which continues a very positive run of form in view Thursday’s match against Roma, in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

Roma too are on a good run under Daniele De Rossi and won the derby against Lazio yesterday, which means they too will be full of confidence going into the game.
