Albert Gudmundsson is unlikely to turn down the chance to join either Juventus or Inter should they come to terms with Genoa. However, if it were up just to him, he’d like to transfer to the Premier League, as he has grown up idolizing it, TuttoSport informed (via Virgilio).

The Icelandic star has been tepidly linked to Tottenham, but they haven’t been as determined as his Serie A suitors at this stage.

Despite the well-known interest from Inter and Juventus, Genoa aren’t in advanced talks with any side for Gudmundsson. The two powerhouses haven’t sent written offers at this stage.

The Nerazzurri are on excellent terms with his agency, GG11. They also represent Tajon Buchanan, whom they acquired in January. While that helps, the sticking point in the negotiation is his price tag, around €35/40M. Considering their financial difficulties, the two Italian giants could get there only through partial swaps or initial loans with an obligation to buy.

He has bagged eight goals in eight matches, considering also those with the national team, since the start of March, failing to score only against the two sides eyeing him.

Our Take on Gudmudsson, Inter, and Juventus

Everything is premature at this stage, and his valuation is indeed problematic. The Nerazzurri could act quicker as they have fewer balls in the air. The two contenders must hope no English side dives from the top rope. Due to his age, he might not be seen as a tantalizing target abroad.
