Hammarby IF have beaten Europe's biggest clubs to sign Liberia international Divine Teah.

Teah, 18, has joined Hammarby this past week from Nimba FC.

Sportbladet says Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Monaco and Gent had all shown concrete interest.

Hammarby's sports director Mikael Hjelmberg revealed: "That we showed that we really wanted him. We visited him on site in Monrovia, we quickly presented a plan and we have our history with African players that he already knew.

"Then it was a lot about soft values. That we see the person before the player. That Hammarby is a big family. That we know our stuff. Then we were quick to invite the family to Stockholm, which was very important."
