Since taking the reins at Tottenham Hotspur last summer, Ange Postecoglou has made an immediate and profound impact, both on and off the pitch.

Initially considered an unlikely choice for the managerial role, Postecoglou has defied expectations, guiding Tottenham to play some of the most captivating football in the league and restoring the team’s identity.

Under his stewardship, Spurs embarked on a remarkable 10-match unbeaten start to the season, clinching 8 victories and 2 draws, earning Postecoglou three consecutive Manager of the Month awards.

Despite encountering setbacks due to injuries throughout the season, Postecoglou has admirably steered the team, keeping them within striking distance of a coveted top-four finish.

Currently, Tottenham sits in 5th place in the league table with 53 points, just 3 points adrift of 4th-placed Aston Villa, with a game in hand.

Postecoglou’s remarkable achievements haven’t gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several clubs, including Liverpool, who are seeking a successor to Jurgen Klopp.

However, renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has quashed speculations of Postecoglou’s departure, affirming the strong bond between the manager and the club.

Fabrizio Romano: Tottenham manager is going nowhere

In a recent interview on the Chris Cowlin Podcast on YouTube, Romano underscored the positive relationship between Postecoglou and Tottenham’s hierarchy, assuring fans that there is no imminent danger of the manager leaving.

He emphasised that Postecoglou is content at Tottenham and has no intention of entertaining discussions with other clubs.

When questioned about concerns regarding Postecoglou’s potential departure or the possibility of the Lilywhites offering him a new contract, Romano said:

“At the moment, I’m not aware of a new contract, but I’m aware of a fantastic relationship between Postecoglou and all the people at the club. I don’t see any danger at this moment.

“There’s never a guarantee in football, but really, at this moment, there is nothing. Postecoglou is not entertaining any conversations with other clubs. He’s super happy at Tottenham; the relationship is great, and I think this is something really important.

“A club like Tottenham has not always been like this in recent years, so it’s important to have a manager who is on the same page with the owner, with the board. They are doing an excellent job. I think in terms of planning for the future, it was not easy to be the new Tottenham coach after the Harry Kane era, and he’s doing a fantastic job.

“So all the people are super happy at the club, and Postecoglou is super happy at Tottenham. So I think there is nothing to worry about, and I see this project absolutely continuing in the future.”
