The news continues to rumble on surrounding the immediate future of Josip Juranovic after his fantastic World Cup performances with Croatia. With the addition of Alistair Johnston to the Celtic ranks for £3.5 million or so from CF Montreal in the MLS, many have made the inference that it means Josip could be leaving in January or the summer transfer window.

Within this sphere of chat there is the hotly-debated issue of how much it will take for the Hoops to part with a key component to the team and World Cup quarter-finalist. There is no doubting Ange and Michael Nicholson will be looking at making a significant return on a player that the manager has improved.

Now Hugh McDonald has had his say on PLZ Soccer with Peter Martin and Alan Rough today. The journalist reckons that it will take in-excess of £10 million for any bid to be entertained and that would seem pretty obvious in all honesty. Juranovic is in his prime right now and also plays consistently for a top international side who are going great guns in the World Cup in Qatar.

Factor in his Champions League experience and the fact players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka cost £50 million down in the English Premier League, then we should be looking for Tierney-type cash for Jura.

Watch Hugh McDonald discuss this below.
