Lazio coach Igor has reportedly reconciled with his players following the debacle witnessed during the 2-2 draw against Monza last Saturday.

The Biancoceleste saw their three-match winning streak put to a halt when Milan Djuric scored a last-gasp equalizer for the hosts at the U-Power stadium. But aside from the result, the team’s mood seemed particularly tense. Seven Lazio players got booked, including Mattia Zaccagni who lost his temper when the manager subbed him off in the middle of the first half, and there was also a similar incident with Luis Alberto.

So as Il Corriere dello Sport explains, Tudor confronted the squad on Tuesday afternoon to clear the air. He reportedly reminded the player of their duties towards the club. saying “I want more from everyone”.

As the Roman newspaper tells it, Lazio president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Angelo Fabiani decided to appoint Tudor in March to exorcise the negative atmosphere that loomed during the final stages of Maurizio Sarri’s reign. Yet, the rebellious attitude in the locker room has persevered.

Moreover, the hierarchy remains concerned with the lack of playing time of some of the club’s biggest investments from last summer, particularly Nicolo Rovlla and Gustav Isakssen. Lotito will not stand hapless while his squad is being devalued, explains the source. Therefore, it remains to be seen how the patron will act at the end of the season.

But in the meantime, everyone at the club will be hoping that the recent confrontation at Formello bears its fruits in the final three matches of the season.
