It’s not very often that you will see footballers get involved in political issues, and when they do you know it must be something serious.

And of course, the Covid-19 pandemic has seriously hit the globe over the last 15 or so months, and things are finally starting to look up with vaccine rollouts.

However, the restrictions in the UK right now are often debated and disagreed with by many, and John Terry is the latest to jump in with his views on the situation.

Sharing via his Instagram, he put up a post showing a picture of nobody socially distancing at the Royal Ascot event, next to a picture of football fans socially distancing at a stadium recently.

His quote – ‘Shocking, football fans and players deserve more respect’ whilst tagging UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the post.
