Lazio talisman Ciro Immobile is aiming to break the 200 goals in Serie A milestone this season, something he’s well on track for.

The 32-year-old Italian striker has already opened his account this campaign, netting the winner in the season opener against Bologna on the weekend. The goal was Immobile’s 183rd in Serie A, putting him five behind the 11th all-time top scorer Alberto Gilardino.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Immobile wants to break the 200 Serie A goal milestone this season, meaning he’ll need to net at least 17 more goals in the remaining 37 league matches.

The Lazio star is only 22 goals behind 7th place Roberto Baggio and he could overtake the 1993 Ballon d’Or winner if he has another prolific campaign.

Last season, Immobile scored 27 goals in 31 league matches and the year prior he netted 20 in 35, which suggests that he shouldn’t have too much issue netting 17 more in this campaign.
