Manchester United have been plagued with their share of injuries in the 2023/24 season. There finally seems to be some positive news with an injury update regarding Mason Mount.

Manchester United Deliver Mason Mount Injury Update

When Is Mount Expected To Return?

The 25-year-old has struggled with injuries all through the campaign and has not played a single match for the Red Devils since November. Erik ten Hag recently gave an update on when he could be expected to return from injury, saying:

“Mason Mount I think he is in a good spell now and he will return shortly, I think after the international break. For next week, some players are planning to return, hopefully, when the process will continue like it is now, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka I expect them to be available for our game against Liverpool. Hojlund as well.”

How Has Mount Fared In Debut Season At Old Trafford?

Unfortunately for Mount, things have not gone according to plan in his first campaign at Old Trafford after joining from Chelsea. He has not been able to get a single-goal contribution in eight Premier League games – and only has one assist in 12 appearances across all competitions so far, with the single assist coming in the win over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.

He has been played in a couple of midfield positions this campaign but has not found his rhythm at Old Trafford. The Englishman, who was hailed as “top-class” last season by his ex-Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, has made 137 appearances in the Premier League in his career, scoring 27 goals and providing 24 assists and will hope to find his best form for the Red Devils in the final stretch of the campaign to help his side finish the campaign strongly.
