AC Milan are one of the teams monitoring the situation surrounding Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne, according to a report.

The fact that Napoli did not qualify for the next Champions League has seemingly made Insigne’s future uncertain, especially given that he scored 19 times and amassed 11 assists in a fantastic individual season and his contract is expiring in 2022.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Insigne is indeed at a crossroads and his future at Napoli has never been so under threat. The captain’s contract with the Partenopei expires in a year and this has attracted the interest of three top clubs, namely Milan, Inter and Atletico Madrid.

Insigne has become a Napoli icon since arriving there, scoring 109 goals and adding 85 assists in 397 games having joined from Pescara, but it could be that he chooses to pursue a new opportunity if the idea of a renewal fades.
