Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma, and Red Bull Salzburg are all keen on teenage Osijek striker Anton Matkovic.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it. The Gazzetta anticipate that the price tag for the 18-year-old will be around €5 million.

Inter are searching high and low for possible targets in attack this summer.

The Nerazzurri will already be bringing in one forward, in the form of Mehdi Taremi. The Iranian international will join on a free transfer from Porto.

On the other hand, former Arsenal veteran Alexis Sanchez will head for the exit door.

Marko Arnautovic’s future is not altogether clear. The Austrian is under contract with Inter for another season, but could well leave for the right offer.

And whether or not Arnautovic stays, Inter could still aim to strengthen their attacking depth.

Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma & Salzburg All Keen On Anton Matkovic

According to the Gazzetta, Osijek striker Matkovic is a serious target for Inter.

The Croat is only eighteen years of age, and has relatively little experience in senior football.

Nevertheless, Inter believe that Matkovic has the right profile.

The Nerazzurri feel that the 18-year-old’s height and physicality as well as speed playing off the back of a defender would make him a good fit in their system.

Moreover, Matkovic would be cheaper than another teenage striker on Inter’s radar, George Ilenikhena.

Ilenikhena would cost no less than €10-15 million. On the other hand, the asking price for Matkovic would be around €5 million.

However, Inter are not the only club eyeing Matkovic up.

Serie A rivals Milan, Juventus, and Roma are all keen on the teenage striker. And Red Bull Salzburg, renowned for their development of young strikers, are also fans.

Therefore, there would be the possibility that the price tag for Matkovic goes up due to the competition.
